Winter Swim
2024-2025
Mount Vernon Park swim team welcomes registration of swimmers who are (1) at least 5 years old as of September 15, 2024 and (2) members of, or on the waitlist for MVPA.
Registration is offered on a first-come first-served basis in one or more "rounds" until the program is full: round 1 (through Sunday 8/18/24) will be offered to returning swimmers from the 2024 summer season, round 2 (8/19 through 8/25) will be offered to new swimmers who are members of MVPA, and round 3 (8/26 until filled) will be offered to new swimmers who are on the waitlist for MVPA.
Kelli Makin will serve as winter swim head coach, assisted by Gators teen coaches 14 and older. The cost is $300 per swimmer and swimmers new to the team will need to complete an assessment on the second Sunday of the program (i.e., 9/22/24) at 7:00pm at GW Rec Center. Swimmers new to the team should not attend the first session on 9/15/24.
The program is offered on Sunday nights from 7:00-8:00pm at GW Rec Center on the following dates:
- 9/15/24 (first day for returning MVP summer/winter swimmers)
- 9/22/24 (first day for new MVP swimmers)
